Meet Chomp!
On May 4th a new super hero came to the Valley, and was introduced to more than 700 people at the We PowerUp the Valley Kick-off.
His name is….Chomp!
The name “Chomp” was submitted by:

Why Chomp? Kids love the name CHOMP! Kids in the St. Croix Valley voted on the top three names submitted and the name with the most votes was Chomp! It’s a reminder that veggies taste great and are fun to “chomp”. Chomp, of course is a veggie, which are “good for you” and packed with nutrition. Although, we know that kids (and adults) eat based on how food tastes and whether it’s fun to eat, more than just being “good for you”, so Chomp needed a FUN name! You’ll also notice that Chomp is strong and full of energy to inspire kids and families to be physically active and have fun together.
Chomp is friendly and huggable, loves to play, and is happy when he can help kids and families PowerUp! Matter of fact, in his inaugural appearance on May 4th, Chomp received a “hug-ability ratio” of 50 to 1 (that means…50 kids want to hug him for every 1 that doesn’t). We think that may be higher than Ronald McDonald…PowerUp mission accomplished!
